"Bright new contender on the indian corner of Old Brompton Road, where a clean blue and white decor with interesting photographic art combines with fresh and imaginative cooking inspired by the Indian Ocean. Fish and seafood is an obvious speciality: prawns come with herby vermicelli noodles to start, alongside deep-fried whitebait with punchy tamarind dip, while mains include creamy monkfish masala & sea bass in sweet & sour sauce. Owned & run by a surfer dude, the atmosphere is laid-back & relaxed."

" Spot on."
Time Out

"This new little Indian restaurant is next door to the long-established Star of India, and we think it offers better value - and , frequently, better cooking. Dum biriyani is great, as is Tinda masala"
- Time Out, Hot Tables 18/9/02

"Inspired by the sparkling New Zealand shoreline of the same name, this innovative restaurant offers original, evolving and bespoke dining"
- Hildon and Friends - Winter 02

" An exciting and highly original new Indian restaurant..."
- Hildon Magazine - Autumn 02

"New, smallish restaurant with a difference, based on indian ocean ideas, so plenty of top seafood here and also dishes from Bali and Malaysia. Try classic grilled jumbo prawns with fengrek and nuts in creamy tomato sauce; and sea bass with sweet and sour style sauce. Welcoming and friendly. "
